Military Students – Leaders at Mini-Football

CHISINAU, May 22, 2013 — Students of Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” won second year in a row the Cup of the National Army Mini-football Championship held within May 15-22.

At the final match, Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” defeated Brigade “Stefan cel Mare” from Chisinau, which won the second place. The third prize was awarded to the team of Brigade “Dacia” from Cahul.

Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, Director of Main Staff, offered medals and diplomas to the winners.

LTC Vasile Olednic, Head of Physical Training and Sports Service of the National Army, the championship brought together 14 teams from Balti, Cahul, Chisinau and Ungheni garrisons.

National Army Mini-football Championship is held yearly and aims at promoting healthy living, building servicemen’s physical skills and team spirit.
