Balti Military Orchestra Conquers Romanian Audience



Chisinau, June 24, 2013 — Military Orchestra of Brigade “Moldova” from Balti performed at the 11th edition of Military Music Festival, held within June 22-23, in Braila, Romania.

Throughout two days, the military from Balti, along with their comrades from Romania and Turkey, performed on the main avenues of the host town, including Parcul Monument, Piata Independentei, Esplanada Dunarii, Piata Traian, Gradina Mare, Statiunea Lacul Sarat.

Balti Orchestra also had an open air concert in Gradina Publica (Public Garden) Braila.

According to Major Sergiu Holban, bandmaster, Head of Military Orchestra Service of the National Army, the performance of Moldovan musicians was highly appreciated by the audience at the event. Our Orchestra offered people from Braila to watch an outstanding musical program, combining many music genres. We were applauded by the Romanian audience for our performance, that was successful thanks to rehearsals and the ambition to be the best in such an interesting Festival", Maj. Holban said.

According to the Festival program, the participating bands marched within a parade on the main streets of Braila town. At the end of the event, an anthem was dedicated to heroes of the world, played by all the participants and a wonderful show of fireworks.

This year, the edition of Military Music Festival brought together seven orchestras from Romania, Turkey and Republic of Moldova.

The International Military Music Festival from Braila is the only event of this kind conducted in Romania.
