National Army Day – Celebrated in All Military Units (photo and video)

Chisinau, September 3, 2013 — National Army Day was celebrated in all the military units and institutions.

Today, in the morning, the personnel of the Ministry of Defense, Main Staff and Chisinau garrison units, attended a church service at Nasterea Domnului Cathedral. Then, servicemembers laid flowers at Stefan cel Mare Monument, „Maica Indurerata” monument from „Eternitate” Memorial, at the Central Cemetery on Armeneasca street and Sfintul Lazar Cemetery.

Balti, Cahul, Ungheni and Marculesti garrissons hosted ceremonies, where the Defense Minister’s Order on awarding National Army personnel was read. The best officers, NCOs and sergeants were awarded medals and conscripts were given three day-leaves.
