Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta Pays Official Visit to Romania

Chisinau, September 19, 2013 — Defense Minister of Republic of Moldova, Vitalie Marinuta, went to an official visit to Romania during September 19-20, at the invitation of his Romanian counterpart, Mircea Dusa.

According to Col. Vladimir Ababii, Head of Defense Policy and Planning Division, during the meetings in Bucharest, the ministers will make a review of the current bilateral defense relations between the two militaries, as well as aspects of future cooperation.

The quoted source specified that the parties will focus their attention on the military education. Thus, they will visit the National Defense University and Military Technical Academy, where they will meet with the leadership, and Moldovan servicemen studying at the above institutions.

In Bucharest, Vitalie Marinuta will also have meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Titus Corlatean, and the Romanian President’s Advisor, Iulian Fota.
