Military Students – K-1 Amateur World Vice-champion

CHISINAU, October 10, 2013 — Sgt. Dumitru Sirbu, 3^rd-year student of Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun”, won the silver medal of K-1 Amateur World Championship, held within October 3-6, in Riga, Latvia.

The military student performed as part of the K-1 amateur national team and won the 2^nd place at 60-kg weight category among juniors.

Sgt. Dumitru Sirbu became a K-1 amateur European vice-champion last year, in Lithuania.

The K-1 Amateur World Championship brought together 300 fighters from 16 countries. Republic of Moldova was represented at this event by 21 sportsmen.
