Military Topographers Train Within Command and Staff Exercises

CHISINAU, October 30, 2013 — Topogeodesic assistance in crisis situations is the topic of the Command and Staff Exercise, conducted by the National Army Topographic Center within October 29-31.

According to the head of the Topogeodesic Center of the National Army, LTC Ghenadie Nigai, the exercise focuses on training planning and practical skills of topogeodesic assistance in crisis situations.

Nigai specified that, within this exercise, the experts of the Center carry out works of land leveling in Telecentru district, where there is a high risk of landslide, as well as the identification of Valea Morilot barrier lake area. They will also develop the orthophotomap of the regions under consideration.

The event is part of the National Army Land Force Command 2013 Action Plan.
