Conscripts’ Social Care Examined by Ministry’s of Defense Leadership and MPs

CHISINAU, November 11, 2013 — Social care of conscripts, accommodation and training conditions of staff were analyzed by Deputy Minister of Defense, Ana Vasilachi, in “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade from Chisinau garrison.

The Deputy Minister of Defense inquired into accommodation conditions, quality of food and military equipment of each National Army conscript. “Throughout 12 months of service, we are concerned about soldiers’ life, alimentation, accommodation, training program and compulsory leaves. The leadership of the Ministry of Defense currently considers the possibility of raising the monthly payment for conscripts doing their military service”, Ana Vasilachi said.

Ana Vasilachi discussed with the unit personnel the possibilities of providing high-quality psychological assistance to conscripts, providing good living conditions and supplying them with equipment, as well as repairing the facilities on the territory of the unit.

The same problems were reviewed by the MPs of the Republic of Moldova Parliament, members of the national, defense and public order commission, Alexandru Cimbriciuc and Ion Butmalai, who visited Brigade “Moldova” from Balti and “Dacia” from Cahul.
