Ministry of Defense and Association of Reserve and Veterans Servicemembers Sign Cooperation Agreement
Chisinau, February 11, 2014 — Active duty servicemembers and those who have contributed to the establishment of the defense institution, must join their efforts to promote patriotic values and defend the rights of those who took the military oath, Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta stated within the ceremony of signature by the Ministry of Defense and the Association of Reserve and Veterans Servicemembers (ARVS) of a Cooperation Agreement in the military — patriotic area.
The Document signed by Defense Minister, Vitalie Marinuta, and the Head of the Association, retired Col. Oleg Ciulcov, deals with the organization of joint military-patriotic activities and other events, that would involve active-duty and retired servicemembers, their families and civil society representatives.
The goals of the Agreement include a more effective cooperation between retired servicemembers and veterans in combat missions, promotion of true spirit of patriotism, and responsible citizenry, obedience to constitution and legislation in force, assistance in rights defense and social adjustment of the Armed Forces retired servicemembers.
After the signature of Agreement, the parties will develop an action plan, that will be implemented afterwards.
