National Army Experience on Physical Security and Ammunition and Weapons Stockpile Management, Examined by OSCE

Col. Andrei Sarban will inform the participants about the cooperation between OSCE and National Army on physical security, ammunition and weapons management, as well as the projects carried out in common with OSCE Mission in Republic of Moldova, as well as with other international organizations (International Committee of the Red Cross, Norwegian People’s Aid).
Also, Col. Sarban will meet with experts from Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Ireland and France, that could contribute funds to projects on raising safety and security of storehouses of ammunition and decreasing the risk of uncontrolled explosion in our country.
The Minister of Defense and OSCE signed, on October 28, 2010, the Memorandum on the implementation of the Complex Program on Small Arms and Light Weapons. The document provides the construction of a storehouse the conventional ammunition in Danceni, the renovation of the ammunition storage warehouses from Floresti, Cahul, Balti and Chisinau, disposal of different kind of bombs, as well as the purchase of an ammunition visual control system.
