Defense Ministry Leadership Meets with Local Public Authorities

Chisinau, February 18, 2014 — Defense Minister, Vitalie Marinuta, met with the local public authorities of Ialoveni district, the associations of veterans and the Military Administrative Section from the region.

The meetings focused on the reform process of the security and defense sector, draft into Armed Forces, military- patriotic education, difficulties faced by veterans and ways of solving them.

During the meeting held at the District Council, the Minister of Defense spoke about the communication and information campaign of the Government of Republic of Moldova on European integration and how should local public authorities promote it. “You have the important role to inform citizens from Ialoveni about the European integration issue. When you go through villages, explain to citizens that European integration is the best way to modernize our country. Moreover, this guarantees a more secure future and life without problems”, Vitalie Marinuta said.

The meeting of Minister of Defense,Vitalie Marinuta, with the associations of veterans representatives from Ialoveni had the goal to enhance communication and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The same day, Deputy Defense Ministers, Igor Panfile and Ana Vasilachi, visited Basarabeasca and Donduseni districts.
