Moldovan-Ukrainian Military Meeting

Chisinau, April 15, 2014 — Minister of Defense, Valeriu Troenco, met today with Ukrainian ambassador to Moldova, Serghei Pirojkov.

The officials discussed the bilateral defense cooperation and the identification of mechanisms required for a dynamic cooperation between the two states defense institutions in the future.

The parties agreed to reinforce Moldovan-Ukrainian relations through military dialogue and participation at joint exercises.

The Moldovan-Ukrainian military cooperation is based on the Cooperation Agreement signed by the Ministry of Defense of Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on February 19, 1993.
