National Army Marks Doctor’s DayChisinau, June 13, 2014 — Defense Minister, Valeriu Troenco, congratulated the medical staff from the National Army on the Doctor’s Day, within a ceremony held today, at the Ministry of Defense. “Today is your day, the day of those who save lives and heal souls, as the Oath of Hippocrates requires. I congratulate you, dear medical employees, for the noble work you do in the National Army”, Valeriu Troenco said. The Minister of Defense awarded diplomas, medals and military ranks to some representatives of the medical staff, as a sign of high appreciation and recognition of merits in their daily service. “I know the job you have is not an easy one. Even so, you manage to do your duty, day by day, with responsibility, dedication and, first of all, with much professionalism, and this gives me confidence that your patients, civilian or military, are in good hands”, Valeriu Troenco stated. The guests of the event also kept a moment of silence to remember the fallen military doctors. The are currently about 500 health care employees in the medical institutions of the National Army.
