Military Academy Graduates Supply Vacancies in National Army Units



Chisinau, June 26, 2014 — About 80 graduates of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” were assigned today to vacant positions in military units of the National Army. Other 61 young people, who studied at the border guards and carabineer specialties, will be assigned to positions, as soon as they are deployed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the Head of Human Resource Management Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, retired Col. Vitalie Butnaru, students are distributed to vacant positions in a transparent manner, according to the final average grades of the graduation and license exams, the level of discipline, the fulfilled duties within four years of studies at the Military Academy, as well as the participation at extracurricular activities of the institution.

“This year, the biggest number of vacancies was issued in Brigades ‘Moldova’, ‘Stefan cel Mare’ and ‘Dacia’, the Center of Communications and Informatics of the National Army, as well as the Anti-Air Missile Regiment”, retired Col. Butnaru said.

The quoted source specified that both, the above units and the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion, Guard Battalion, Communications Battalion and Engineer Battalion, “Decebal” Air Base, as well as the Artillery Unit, provides vacancies at infantry, artillery and communications specialties.

Class 2014 of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” has 138 graduates. 77 of them will serve in National Army units, 37 — in the Border Guard Service and 24 — in Carabineer Troops.
