Valeriu Troenco Awards Diplomas to Defense and Security Master Graduates

Chisinau, December 19, 2014 — Defense Minister Valeriu Troenco awarded certificates to graduates of Defense and Security Master Studies, within a ceremony held at the Ministry of Defense.

Valeriu Troenco congratulated the 28 graduates and expressed his confidence that they would apply in their daily activity everything they had learned at this course.

“This course conducted by Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy of the Armed Forces was designed to help students better understand and make a thorough research of the defense and security area. This has been accomplished thanks to the support of national and international experts, academics and notorious personalities in this area”, Valeriu Troenco said.

The Defense Minister thanked the partners from Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Romania, Sweden and the USA, that had actively participated in training master graduates and teaching staff of the Military Academy.

According to the commander of Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy, Col. Mihail Buclis, the 18-month master program aimed at training specialists in national and international defense and security areas.

The quoted source specified the curriculum covered such topics as: conceptual approach to state security, defining national security specialized terms, state security treatment in the context of foreign influence and intervention, geopolitical identity of Republic of Moldova, regional and interstate affairs review and assessment of diplomatic and military relations contribution to strengthening state sovereignty and security of the country.

The second class of Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy of the Armed Forces Master studies has 28 graduates. They are National Army servicemembers, members of border police, carabineer troops and Penitentiary Institutions Department, as well as academics and private sector members.
