Minister of Defense Meets with Ambassador of Turkey to Republic of Moldova

Chisinau, March 26, 2015 — Minister of Defense Viorel Cibotaru met today with Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova, Mehmet Selim Kartal.

The officials discussed about the regional situation, the Minister’s of Defense priorities and the Moldovan-Turkish security and defense cooperation.

Minister of Defense appreciated the contribution of Republic of Turkey in training approximately 140 Moldovan officers and non-commissioned officers within the Turkish Military Academy and the PfP Training Center in Ankara.

Mehmet Selim Kartal pledged for an efficient partnership with Republic of Moldova in the future.

The diplomatic relationship between Republic of Moldova and Turkey was established on February 3, 1993.
