Moldovan Service Members Participate in “Wind Spring 15” Exercise

CHISINAU, April 15, 2015 — A National Army contingent will participate in the multinational exercise “Wind Spring 15” conducted within April 16-30 in Romania.

The Moldovan platoon formed by officers and NCOs from “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade will train together with soldiers from Romania, the USA, and Great Britain. The exercise aims to maintain the operational capabilities of the troops and fulfill specific requirements of interoperability and standardization of NATO and EU.

The exercise “Wind Spring 15” will take place simultaneously at Smardan training ground from Galati county and at “Mihail Kogalniceanu” Air Base from Constanta county. “Wind Spring 15” brings together 1,500 Romanian service members, 400 soldiers from the USA, 170 soldiers from Great Britain, and 26 soldiers from the Republic of Moldova.
