Recruit’s Day in Hincesti

Chisinau, April 30, 2015 — The Army Recruiting Office of Hincesti, in collaboration with the local public authorities, organized today the Recruit’s Day. The event brought together about 300 young people from different localities of Hincesti district.

Minister of Defense Viorel Cibotaru mentioned, during the event, that the Recruit’s Day is very important for the young people who will be soon enrolled in active military service in the Armed Forces, where they will be learning the military life and will take their Oath. “I assure you that during the military service, you will acquire knowledge and skills that will be useful in the civil life as well”, said Viorel Cibotaru.

During the event, the militaries from the Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”, “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade, the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion and the Guard Battalion presented the troop’s military vehicles and equipment, as well as wrestling exercises. Also, the Presidential Orchestra presented a program of instrumental music.

The event’s program also included individual and team sports competitions during which the recruits competed at 100-meter distance running, pull-ups, rope pulling and weights lifting.

According to the Head of Personnel Division of the Main Staff, Col. Sergiu Voinu, within May-July 2015, 1,100 young people will be enrolled in the National Army, and other 400 will join the Carabineer Troops.

The enrolment in the Armed Forced takes place four times a year.
