World War II Veterans Decorated by the National Army LeadershipCHISINAU, May 7, 2015 — Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, decorated a group of World War II veterans with the commemorative medal “70 years since victory over fascism in World War II” during ceremonies held in Cimislia and Hincesti. Gen. Gorgan thanked over 50 veterans who fought with courage on the World War II fronts. “Today, we are here to show esteem and respect for the war veterans, and to pay tribute to the heroes who died on battlefield”, said the National Army Commander.
