Oath of Enlistment in “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade



CHISINAU, June 12, 2015 — About 500 young soldiers took their military oath today during a ceremony held in “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade from Chisinau.

During the event, Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, congratulated the young soldiers. “Today, the National Army is supplied with 498 young soldiers. In the following 11 months, they will learn the army skills from the best professionals and must show responsibility, commitment, and perseverance”, said Brigadier Gen. Gorgan.

According to LTC Ruslan Cojocaru, Deputy Commander of “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade, the young soldiers who took the military oath today were enlisted in the National Army in May 2015.

LTC Cojocaru also mentioned that the young men attended a 4-week training course studying the tactics, square bashing, military regulations, and physical training.

The enrolment in the Armed Forced takes place four times a year. The mandatory military service in the National Army lasts 12 months.
