Military Contingents Interoperability Tested in Balti (video)

 CHISINAU, July 20, 2015 — Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, attended today the opening ceremony of the active phase of “Joint Effort 2015” multinational exercise, held at the military training center of “Moldova” Brigade from Balti.

In the speech addressed to the participants, Brigadier Gen. Gorgan mentioned how much the colleagues from the USA, Romania, Poland, and Georgia contributed to successfully conduct the trainings, thus ensuring the experience exchange, as well as improving the operational capabilities of the units. “This kind of exercises offer a better readiness to servicemembers and contribute to establishing a long-lasting partnership between the armies of the participating countries”, stated the National Army Commander.

According to the exercise Commander, Col. Veaceslav Rusu, today starts the second stage of the exercise. During this phase, the Moldovan servicememebers, together with their colleagues from the USA, Romania, Poland, and Georgia, will carry out missions on different training sites: crowd control, patrol, movement on battlefield, actions at command and observation posts, EOD drills, medical evacuation, as well as shooting drills.

The multinational exercise “Joint Effort 2015” is conducted within July 12-24, 2015.
