National Army to Participate in a Multinational Exercise in Romania

CHISINAU, May 6, 2016 — A platoon of National Army soldiers participates in “Platinum Eagle 2016” exercise conducted at Smardan Training Ground from Galati, Romania, within May 9-16, 2016.

According to Commander of the contingent, LTC Alexandru Marcuta, the Moldovan platoon consists of 30 soldiers of “Moldova” Brigade from Balti city.

The source specified that the Moldovan contingent will train alongside troops from Romania, the USA, Serbia, and Bulgaria.

“Platinum Eagle 2016” exercise is part of the National Army combat readiness plan for 2016.
