CHISINAU, July 28, 2016 — A group of service members of “Moldova” Brigade from Balti participates in the multinational exercise “Saber Guardian — 16”, held at the Land Forces Combat Training Center “Getica” from Cincu, Brasov county, within July 27 — August 7, 2016.

The National Army soldiers act as staff officers within the multinational battalion, taking part in the planning and organization of missions established according to the exercise’s scenario, together with service members from other participating countries.

“Saber Guardian — 16” brings together over 2,700 soldiers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Canada, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, the USA, and Ukraine. The exercise aims to increase the interoperability between NATO armies and partner armies and has four stages — command exercises, training through computer-aided simulation, field exercises for troops training, and tactical exercises with shooting drills using all categories of weapons.
