Military Parade 2016: National Army Conducts First Parade Rehearsal with Military Vehicles (video)
CHISINAU, August 10, 2016 — The National Army conducted today the first rehearsal with vehicles and weapons to participate in the military parade as of August 27, 2016, on Marii Adunari Nationale Square.
According to Deputy Head of Logistics Directorate, LTC Andrei Camerzan, the rehearsal took place on R6 way to Ialoveni —E581 and R6 crossroads and E584 and R6 crossroads — bringing together 33 military vehicles of the National Army.
The source specified that the convoy consists of 22 HMMWVs, four HMMWVs Cargo, two HMMWVs for the staff, one General Staff HMMWV, and four M-35A3 vehicles.
LTC Camerzan added that during the rehearsal the soldiers also used weapons such as: 7,62mm PKT and 12,7mm DSK machine guns, 120mm PM mine launchers, as well as AZP-57 anti-air artillery of the anti-air complex S-60.
Each vehicle was operated by a driver, a machine gunner, and the crew.
A special intervention team consisting of maintenance, evacuation, and medical vehicles accompanied the military vehicles convoy.
The rehearsal with military vehicles will be held Wednesdays and Fridays, until August 19, 2016.
