National Army Soldiers Participate in an Exercise in RomaniaCHISINAU, September 19, 2016 — A platoon of soldiers of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion participates in the “Platinum Lynx 16.5” training module conducted at Babadag training area from Tulcea, Romania, within September The training is part of the scenario of the multinational exercise “Black Sea Rotational Force 16” (BSRF 16) organized by U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa and aims to increase the interoperability through soldiers’ joint training for participation in peacekeeping and counterinsurgency operations. At “Platinum Lynx 16.5”, the Moldovan peacekeepers carry out shooting drills, perform first aid in the operations area and practice procedures of unit’s command and control. The training at Babadag area brings together over 200 soldiers of the Romanian Land Forces and over 300 service members from Bulgaria, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, the Republic of Moldova, Slovenia, the United States of America, and Ukraine.
