Anatol Salaru Meets With Ambassador of Slovakia to Chisinau

CHISINAU, November 7, 2016 — Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru met today with Ambassador of Slovakia to the Republic of Moldova, Robert Kirnag. The meeting was also attended by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in the Slovak Republic, Jan Varga.

The officials talked about the security environment in the region and the bilateral military cooperation.

Minister Salaru informed Robert Kirnag about the defense sector reform, with a focus on the development of strategic documents, as well as other activities conducted by the Ministry of Defense.

Anatol Salaru expressed his conviction that the Moldovan and Slovak defense institutions will strengthen their cooperation by starting joint projects beneficial for both armies.

The Slovak Ambassador mentioned the interest of his country in a bilateral military partnership, specifying that Slovakia is available to offer assistance in this sector.
