Ambassador of Czech Republic Visits Ministry of Defense
CHISINAU, March 20, 2017 — Deputy Defense Minister Gheorghe Galbura met today with Ambassador of Czech Republic in the Republic of Moldova, Zdeněk Krejčí.
The officials discussed the Moldovan-Czech defense relations and the prospects of strengthening the bilateral dialogue between the two armies.
The other discussed issues concerned the military education and the training opportunities for National Army service members in Czech military educational institutions.
Gheorghe Galbura and Zdeněk Krejčí agreed on reinforcing the military cooperation between Moldova and the Czech Republic.
The diplomatic relations between Moldova and the Czech Republic were established on February 23, 1993, while the Moldovan-Czech military cooperation started in 2011, after the Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Defense of Czech Republic was signed in Prague.
