Ukraine Has a New Military Attaché in the Republic of Moldova



CHISINAU, April 10, 2017 — Today, the new military attaché of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, Col. Serhii Smetaniuk, was presented to National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie.

The National Army Commander congratulated Col. Serhii Smetaniuk on his appointment and expressed the conviction that the new military attaché will contribute to reinforce the Moldovan-Ukrainian defense cooperation.

Col. Smetaniuk said that he is honored to be the military attaché in our country and that he will make every effort in order to enhance the cooperation between the armies of Moldova and Ukraine.

The Moldovan-Ukrainian military cooperation is based on the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldovan and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, signed on February 19, 1993.
