National Army Engineers Prepare the Exercise “Dragoon Pioneer 2017”

According to LTC Serghei Chilivnic, chief of Engineer Service of the Land Forces Command, during the conference, the participants will finalize the exercise scenario and develop the plan for its organization.
The source specified that the Moldovan-American exercise “Dragoon Pioneer 2017” is planned for July-August, 2017 in the Republic of Moldova and aims to ensure the joint training of the EOD units and raise the level of interoperability between the two armies.
“Dragoon Pioneer” exercise was organized for the first time in May, 2016 bringing together 198 service members of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the US Army and 165 service members of the Engineer Battalion, the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion, as well as from Brigades 1, 2, and 3 of the National Army.
