CHISINAU, May 19, 2017 — A new practical course on ammunition management, held within the Training project on ammunition and weapons stockpile management, ended today in the National Army.

According to deputy Chief of National Army Weapons and Ammunition Center, LTC Roman Scutelnic, the training was held within May 2-19, 2017 and aimed to share the best practices, policies, and procedures regarding the ammunition stockpiling.

The source specified that the 12 officers and NCOs from the National Army units attending the course have been trained by Austrian and German experts on ammunition management and how to increase efficiency within the ammunition stockpile management activities.

The “Ammunition and weapons stockpile management” course has three stages and is part of the series of projects implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defense and OSCE on the implementation of the Complex Program on Small Arms and Light Weapons and conventional weapons in the Republic of Moldova, signed on October 28, 2010.
