According to Head of the Center, LTC Eugeniu Marit, the course aims to develop the theoretical and practical skills needed in reading topographic maps, determining topographic coordinates in various projections and coordinate systems, topographic analysis of the field, and others.
The source specified that the training included navigation by itinerary using GPS and by classical methods using the magnetic azimuth. The service members also oriented on field using maps and ground planimetry objects.
At the end of the course, the participants will become topography trainers within their units.
