Ukrainian Ambassador at Ministry of Defense
CHISINAU, November 17, 2017 — Minister of Defense Eugen Sturza met today with Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, Ivan Gnatisin.
The main issues discussed by the two officials were the current stage of the bilateral military relations, the regional situation, and opportunities of developing the partnership between the National Army and the Ukrainian Army.
Eugen Sturza and Ivan Gnatisin talked about the importance for Moldovan and Ukrainian service members to participate in multinational peacekeeping exercises organized in Ukraine and other countries that aim to increase interoperability and to exchange experience between the contingents of the two armies.
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and the Ambassador of Ukraine underlined the necessity to develop and modernize the Ministries of Defense of the two countries and agreed on strengthening the Moldovan-Ukrainian military relations.
The Moldovan-Ukrainian military cooperation was established in 1993.
