National Army Service Members Decorated at the End of the Year

CHISINAU, December 29, 2017 — Minister of Defense Eugen Sturza decorated today a group of service members and civilian employees of the Ministry of Defense, General Staff, and military units during a ceremony held, by tradition, at the end of the year.

The National Army distinctions — “Cross of Merit”, I and II class, “Distinguished Service” Cross, I, II, and III class, the medal “For Strengthening the Brotherhood in Arms”, medal “For courage”, medal “For humanitarian and peacekeeping missions”, medal “For Cooperation” — were offered for performances during the training year 2017.

Eugen Sturza congratulated the entire National Army Commanding Corps, the service members, conscripts, and civilians on the winter holidays and thanked them for their service.

“I thank you for your commitment, professionalism, and excellent way of fulfilling your missions at home, on training areas, during studies abroad and foreign missions”, said the Minister of Defense.

At the end of the event, the National Army military and civilian staff welcomed the carol singers from “Haiducii” folk band from Mereni village and the representatives of the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova and the Honor Guard service members.
