Military Education Evaluated by NATO Experts

CHISINAU, June 6, 2018 — A group of NATO experts are paying a visit to the Republic of Moldova within June 5-7, 2018. The visit is part of the implementation of the Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) at the Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” (MAAF).

According to MAAF rector, Col. Sergiu Plop, the visit’s objective is to evaluate the studying process in the educational institution for academic year 2017-2018 and to establish the objectives of academic year 2018-2019.

The source specified that the NATO experts will meet with National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and National Army General Staff in order to discuss the Moldovan military education sector’s achievements that were obtained through DEEP and the prospective cooperation in this field.

The DEEP has been launched in 2009 and aims to modernize the military education of our country.
