Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” Starts Admission Tests



CHISINAU, July 24, 2018 — The candidates who want to study at Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” (MAAF) took the physical training admission exam today.

According to Commander (rector) of MAAF, Col. Sergiu Plop, the over 60 young people were tested on the following: distance run 100 m (girls and boys), 1000 m (girls), 3000 m (boys), pull-ups (boys), and crunches (girls and boys).

Col. Plop added that, this year, the institution offers 75 places for three specialties — infantry, artillery, communications-IT. The admission is conducted in two stages and the next one is planned for July 25 — September 1, 2018.

Those who are admitted will attend a four-week integration course and will study military regulations, square bashing, tactics and, in the end, will carry out shooting drills at the National Army Military training base from Bulboaca.

The studies, accommodation, equipment, and food are free for the military students during the three years of training.

Upon graduation, the students will receive the rank of “lieutenant”, the driving license cat. B, as well as a job in the National Army.
