National Army at “Rapid Trident 2018”

According to commander of the Moldovan contingent, Maj. Nicolae Frasineac, the exercise aims to increase interoperability between the military of participating countries and to train them for international peacekeeping missions.
The source mentioned that about 70 officers and NCOs from “Moldova” Brigade and the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion deployed to the exercise are carrying out peacekeeping operation missions, such as: convoy escort, patrol, and medical evacuation.
This year, “Rapid Trident” brings together about 2,300 service members from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, USA, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The National Army has been participating in this exercise since 2006.
