“Unimedia” News Portal’s Team Wins “Press Cup 2018” (video)

CHISINAU, September 7, 2018 — Representatives of media institutions from our country participated today in the “Press Cup 2018” held at National Army’s Military training base from Bulboaca.

The competition was organized by the Mass-Media Information and Communication Service of the Institutional Management Directorate, in cooperation with the Doctrine and Joint Training Directorate of the General Staff, on the occasion of National Army’s 27th anniversary.

The 15 reporters, cameramen, and photographers from radio, TV, and printed press competed in: crossing the running track with military elements, firing a TT pistol, firing a rifle.

According to LTC Grigorii Bodarev, chief of the referee board, the representatives of “Unimedia” news portal received the highest scores and won the Press Cup.

The trophy was presented to the winning team by Minister of Defense, Eugen Sturza.

“I congratulate you all and I am glad that you accepted our invitation. This competition is more than a sports event. We wanted you to feel the spirit of camaraderie, effort and discipline that is felt while fulfilling a mission. We hope we did it”, said the Minister of Defense to the media representatives.

Eugen Sturza invited the participants and their colleagues to attend other military activities organized by the National Army.

The “Press Cup” Project has been started in 2011 and has the goal to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and media institutions from the Republic of Moldova, to develop military skills and individual performances, to identify and encourage the most skillful mass-media representatives during the military competition.
