National Army Soldiers Donate Blood for LifeCHISINAU, October 11, 2018 — The National Army soldiers from all the country’s garrisons and the students of Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” are donating blood as part of the campaign “O cale spre viata” (A path towards life), within October According to chief of the Military Medical Directorate, LTC Sergiu Cirlan, during the campaign, collecting centers have been set up in the units from Chisinau, Cahul, and Balti garrisons. Minister of Defense Eugen Sturza, alongside the institution’s chiefs of departments, and the National Army Commanding Corps, donated blood in Military Compound 142. Eugen Sturza mentioned that the National Army soldiers are participating in blood donation campaigns regularly in order to offer hope and a chance to life to the citizens with health problems. “Through such gestures we want to raise public awareness, encourage people to donate blood, because only together we can help those in need. I thank Minister Silvia Radu, who joined the National Army military in order to donate blood, for receptivity and openness to the organization of this campaign”, said Eugen Sturza. During the campaign, over 200 soldiers from “Moldova”, “Stefan cel Mare”, and “Dacia” Brigades, Anti-Air Missile Regiment, Central Military Hospital, Preventive Medical Center, units of Military Compound 142, as well as students of Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” are expected to donate blood.
