The Guard Battalion and The Center of Communications and Informatics Celebrate Unit’s Day
CHISINAU, October 19, 2018 — Two military units — the Guard Battalion and the Center of Communications and Informatics — organized today festivities celebrating the 26th anniversary since their establishment. On this occasion, a group of service members and reservists received honor diplomas and certificates of appreciation for excellent results during the training process and activity performances.
During the event organized in the Guard Battalion, National Army Commander, Brig. Gen. Igor Cutie, congratulated the unit’s military and civilian staff for their entire activity in the service of Moldovan citizens.
“Throughout the 26 years of activity, the Battalion’s staff proved that they are a force capable to fulfill their missions with professionalism, in compliance with military regulations, characterized by a complex activity. The unit conducted extensive actions in order to train the young generations of soldiers who, after completing this course of patriotic education, will be grateful for how they have been taught with faith, honor, and dedication,” said Gen. Cutie.
The unit also organized activities including wrestling exercises presented by service members from the Special Forces Battalion, square bashing techniques presented by Honor Guard soldiers, and equipment, vehicles, and weapons exhibitions. Meanwhile, the Presidential Orchestra presented a musical program.
Also today, the Center of Communications and Informatics of the General Staff celebrated its anniversary at the Ministry of Defense. “I appreciate and I am grateful for your work, service, and dedication to your profession. I will continue to rely on your motivation and commitment to transform and modernize your field of activity because it belongs to the future and is indispensable for the process that we have started for the transformation and modernization of the entire defense system,” stated Brig. Gen. Cutie during the festivity.
