Moldovan-Kazakh bilateral cooperation



CHISINAU, April 12, 2011 - Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta had a meeting with His Excellency Amankeldy Zhumabayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Republic of Moldova, with the residence in Kiev.

According to LTC Vladimir Ababii, Chief of Defense Policy and Planning Directorate, the visit focused on issues related to bilateral cooperation in different areas, mainly referring to the joint activity of the two militaries, as well as both parties’ view about broadening cooperation between the Moldovan and Kazakh Ministries of Defense.

Minister Marinuta informed the guest about the reform process of the National Army, as well as the engagement of Moldovan army in UN-led peacekeeping operations.

Ambassador Amankeldy Zhumabayev told the Moldovan Minister of Defense about the Kazakh army activity and perspectives of military cooperation. The official was very much interested about the National Army organization, military reform and implementation of other reforms in the country. His Excellency pledged for a further broadening of cooperation areas between the Moldovan and Kazakh Ministries of Defense.
