National Army Service Members Trained on Public Internal Financial Control
CHISINAU, October 25, 2018 — The Internal Audit Service organized today a training session on “The concept of public internal financial control. Financial management and internal control” for the chiefs of subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense and General Staff.
During the seminar’s opening, General State Secretary, Radu Burduja, mentioned that the development of the managerial internal control system within all the institution’s subdivisions, in compliance with national standards of internal control and international practices, is important for making the defense institution’s activity more efficient.
According to chief of Internal Audit Service, Natalia Novitchii, the training had the objective to build knowledge and develop practical skills of the defense institution’s policy-makers on how to implement the national normative framework regarding the public internal financial control.
During the seminar, the participants familiarized themselves with the concept of public internal financial control, the national standards’ requirements for internal control, and the role of internal audit.
The training activity was conducted with the support of Public Internal Financial Control Policy Division of the Ministry of Finance.
