Moldovan Soldiers to Participate for the First Time in the Parade Organized on Lithuanian Armed Forces Day

CHISINAU, November 23, 2018 — The service members from the National Army Guard Battalion will participate for the first time in the parade organized on the Lithuanian Armed Forces Day.

The event marking 100th anniversary of Lithuania’s Armed Forces will be also attended by National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, following the invitation of his counterpart, Gen. Lt. Jonas Vytautas Zukas.

The National Army has deployed to the parade four service members of the Honor Guard. The formation will be commanded by 1st Lt. Vitalie Josan, while the State Flag will be carried by SFC Valeriu Bat.

In 2016, Lithuania participated with a group of service members from the Honor Guard Company of the “Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas” Staff Battalion in the parade dedicated to the 25th anniversary since the Independence of the Republic of Moldova.
