National Army Service Members Trained on How to Prevent CorruptionCHISINAU, December 7, 2018 — The General Inspection Directorate (GID) is conducting training sessions regarding the corruption phenomenon, its dangers, and the consequences of being involved in actions of corruption. According to chief of GID, Col. Victor Pirtina, the activities are organized in cooperation with National Anticorruption Center in the National Army units. During the sessions, the military and civilian staff is informed about the new normative framework regarding whistleblowers, in compliance with Law 122/2018. The source specified that the training has the objective to inform and consolidate the National Army staff’s knowledge on the assessment of professional integrity, conflicts of interest, whistleblowers’ protection, the legal framework of gifts, liability for corruption acts, connected acts and corrupt behavior.
