Over 300 Soldiers Donate Blood

CHISINAU, December 20, 2018 — National Army soldiers and students of Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” donated blood today at four collecting centers set up in Chisinau, Cahul, and Balti garrisons.

According to chief of the Military Medical Directorate, LTC Sergiu Cirlan, the action was organized by the Ministry of Defense, together with the National Center for Blood Transfusion in order to replenish the blood banks, including those of the National Army.

The source mentioned that over 300 soldiers from “Moldova”, “Stefan cel Mare”, and “Dacia” Brigades, Anti-Air Missile Regiment, Central Military Hospital, units of Military Compound 142, as well as students of Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” have voluntarily donated blood.

This year, over 1,300 military and civilian employees of the National Army have donated blood within campaigns organized together with specialized institutions from our country.
