National Army Soldiers Vote in Parliamentary Elections



CHISINAU, February 24, 2019 — The National Army soldiers are voting today within the parliamentary elections of the Republic of Moldova.

Thus, the conscripts from all the garrisons are voting at the polling stations from the districts where their units are located. According to the legislation, they will vote based on their military ID cards.

The students of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” are voting at the polling station within the State Company “Moldovan Railways” (6 Haltei street), using their ID cards. They are registered on an additional electoral roll.

The service members of the Peacekeeping Forces stationed in Varnita, Cosnita, and Cocieri are voting at the polling stations from the villages where their subdivisions are located.

As for contract-based service members, they are voting at the polling stations corresponding to their place of residence, based on ID cards.

At the same time, the National Army officers and NCOs from KFOR-10 contingent deployed to Kosovo are voting at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Sofia, Bulgaria, on an additional electoral roll, based on their passports.
