Anniversaries in the National Army
CHISINAU, April 19, 2019 — Two units of the National Army — The Artillery Battalion and the Signal Battalion — marked today their 27th anniversaries during ceremonies held in Ungheni and Chisinau that were attended by the National Army Commanding Corps, veterans, and former commanders.
In Ungheni, National Army Commander, Brig. Gen. Igor Cutie, appreciated the performance of Artillery Battalion’s soldiers during military activities and activities held by the local community and mentioned the professionalism and commitment of the military and civilian staff while fulfilling their missions.
Brig. Gen. Cutie told the soldiers to be determined and perseverant in their service, thus contributing to the continuation of military traditions and promoting the image of the unit and of the entire army among society.
The ceremony in Ungheni included wrestling and weapon handling exercises, an exhibition of military vehicles, weapons, and equipment, as well as a music program performed by local artists.
At the festivity in Chisinau, Deputy Chief of National Army General Staff for operations and training, Col. Eduard Ohladciuc, congratulated the Signal Battalion’s staff and highlighted the importance of the Battalion to the organization and efficient functioning of National Army’s communication systems and the high level of training of the sector’s specialists.
During the ceremony, Col. Ohladciuc awarded diplomas to a group of service members for their merits and professional skills.
