Experts from the Republic of Moldova and Lithuania Discuss Military Transformation at Ministry of Defense

According to Chief of Transformation Directorate, Col. (r) Aurel Fondos, the activity has the objective to exchange experience in the area of long-term military transformation.
Aurel Fondos specified that the activity will focus on developing plans on long-term military capability building, prioritizing budgetary resources allocated to the Ministry of Defense and optimizing current human, technical-material, and infrastructure resources in order to build national defense capabilities, as well as the benefits of the models of enlistment in the Armed Forces for conscripts and contract-based service members.
The Republic of Moldova and Lithuania have been cooperating in the military area since November, 2000.
