CHISINAU, April 22, 2011 – Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta, along with his family and other National Army officers’ families, offered Friday, April 22, Easter gifts to children from the Rehabilitation Center for Infants situated on Alexandru Cosmescu Street from Chisinau.
On the eve of Easter, Vitalie Marinuta and his wife Maria brought Easter cakes, sweets and fruits for children. Their example was followed by other officers of the National Army and their families. The Minister of Defense stated there are children in this world that cannot enjoy their parents’ love an support on religious holiday. Thus, they deserve all our attention.
„We decided to make these children happy on the eve of Resurrection Day, along with other officers’ families. We wanted to make them smile, feel our love and friendship. May God bless these nice children with health and happiness. May all their dreams come true. May God’s love and power fill their soul with hope, joy and all good things”, the Minister of Defense said.
Maria Tarus, director of the Rehabilitation Center for Infants, thanked the National Army servicemen for the gifts. The children of the center performed and recited poems for the guests.
„We were very happy to have the National Army officers as our guests. Every child needs to enjoy Easter holidays and we are grateful to National Army officers for their gifts and for making children smile. I wish them all happy holidays, peace and happiness in the family”, the director of the Center, Maria Tarus, stated.
On the eve of Easter holidays, a group of servicemen of the Guard Battalion cleaned up the territory of the Rehabilitation Center for Infants.
The Rehabilitation Center for Infants hosts nearly 160 orphan and abandoned children aged one week to 6 years old.
