Moldovan-Slovak dialogue at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, October 29, 2019 – The Minister of Defense Pavel Voicu had a meeting today with the Slovak ambassador to our country, Dušan Dacho.

The parties discussed the regional situation and the prospect of boosting cooperation between the defense institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Slovakia.

Also, Minister Voicu and Ambassador Dacho  highlighted in the talks the importance of sectoral reform and the actions to be taken to achieve this goal.

In this regard, Pavel Voicu said that the National Army is in a broad process of transformation, with emphasis on the professionalization of the institution, expanding participation in international peacekeeping operations, improving the social package and equipping the army. 

In the end, the two officials agreed on strengthening the Moldovan-Slovak partnership in the field by identifying and initiating projects and programs beneficial to the armies of both countries.
