Slovak military attache concludes his mandate



CHISINAU, May 4, 2011 — The Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Iurie Dominic, met with the Slovak defense attaché to Republic of Moldova with the residence in Bucharest, Col. Jozef Struhar, on the conclusion of his mandate and the closing of his office in Romania.

The military officials reviewed the current defense bilateral affairs between the two countries. They discussed about the military reform, Transnistrian conflict, as well as other issues of major importance.

„We must keep implementing the defense reform, Strategic Defense Review and other defense projects that cannot be carried out but with the international experts’ help”, Brigadier Gen. Dominic stated. Thus, the National Army Commander appreciated Republic of Moldova — Slovakia cooperation relations appraisal and thanked the military official for support provided during his mandate.

Col. Struhar pointed out the National Army had developed from different points of view in a short period of time and it should keep developing given the support provided from the outside.

Jozef Struhar was assigned Slovak defense attaché to Moldova with the residence in Bucharest on May 2008.
