Gender Equality, discussed at the Ministry of Defense
Chisinau, January 21, 2020 — Promoting, and implementing the main policy documents on gender equality discussed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Vladimir Iliev, and Peterson Magoola, UN Women Interim Country Representative for Moldova.
Vladimir Iliev thanked for the support offered for training the military and civilian staff, organizing and conducting campaigns for the promotion of military women, as well as for the assistance in launching the National Army Women’s Association.
The officials underlined the important role of women in the resolution of conflicts and in peacebuilding, conflict prevention and ensuring respect for human rights.
